WELCOME TO OUR DAY TOUR!

Complete with a fun and easy-going spirit, this tour is orientated to visiting all the famous places which you have heard of, as well as those best-kept secrets which don’t appear in guide books.  Packed with numerous photo-opportunities, we will share with you the many stories and legends behind these magical sites.  Discovering Seville in this fun and dynamic manner will also provide you with a fabulous sense of orientation in the city, and give you valuable information as to where to eat and what to see during your stay in Seville (for example, the best restaurants, theatres, bars, etc…).

Have fun!

Main Visits:

 - Torre del Oro (Tower of Gold):  Built in the XIII century, during the Almohade period.  It is said that all the gold arriving from India and the New Worlds was collected here (Customs).

  - La Catedral (The Cathedral):  Following the Re-Conquest of Seville under Fernando III, it was decided that a church should be built, according to legend, “so large that those who witness its finish shall believe we are crazy.”  The Cathedral was started in 1402 over the foundations of an old Arab Mezquite.  It has been declared part of the Patronage of Humanity by the UNESCO.

 - Giralda:  The most representative monument of Seville, it is the minaret tower of the large mesquite.  Construction began in 1184.  The Giralda’s height of 117,50 meters once made her the tallest tower in Europe.  Instead of stairs, the Giralda has ramps, built wide enough to allow orators to climb to the top on horse-back.

  - Reales Alcázares (Royal Palace/Gardens):  Definitely one of the most impressive monuments in Seville, these royal grounds cannot be missed.  The Alcázar served as a fort and palace.  Today it is the residence of the Royal Family when they are visiting Seville.  It has been used for the setting in famous movies such as “Lawrence of Arabia.”
 -
Parque Maria Luisa  (Maria Louisa Gardens & Plaza de España):
These gardens, which first formed part of the San Telmo Palace Gardens, were donated in 1893 by the princess María Luisa Fernanda of the city of Orleans.  The Plaza de España and the Plaza de America were built within the garden grounds, and today form part of her fame.  We will make a stop here to refresh with a drink and tapa (not included in price.)

 - Barrio de Santa Cruz (Old Neighborhood of Santa Cruz):  Located in the center of the city, this beautiful area is filled with old family homes, flower-filled patios, ivy-covered balconies, and legends…  Enchantment, love, duels, and many memories whisper through these ancient walls.
  - Real Fábrica de Tobacos (Royal Tobacco Factory):  Built from stone in the XVIII century as the base of the first tobacco factories established in Europe.  Home of the famous legend of Carmen, the gypsy, who inspired Bizet’s opera. It currently houses the headquarters for the University of Seville.
- Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla (Royal Maestranza Arena):  Created in 1670, this stadium’s original purpose was the practice of arms amongst the nobles and equestrian training for war, in service to the Spanish crown.
